Plans for our eat local garden
There is a lot of work that people have to put into there gardens. A lot of watering, planting, weeding, fertilizing and planning. In the paragraphs following read abput what me and my partener Tyler have planned to do with our garden.
The first thing that we decided to work on was shade. Many plants prefer colder climates, plants like lettuce, peas, carrots and broccoli. Since our school is very hot we have made a large tub of dirt (or we are going to) and cover it with shade cloth to give our plants a colder climate to grow in. Plants like eggplant, and kale we are going to leave out in the open so they get enough heat and sunlight. We also left a large area open so we can plant pineapple. Pineapple takes a long time to grow and we don't expect to get any pineapples this quarter but by the end of the semester we hope to at least have one. Most of our other plants are either very fast growing or already have fruit on them.
The plants that we are going to grow are mostly herbs. In the shaded are we are going to put marjoram, cilantro, and peas. We also have peppers and kale that we are going to plant. These are going to go in the sun with the eggplant. Other than that I don't know much, except pineapple we pretty much have no other plants to plant.
