there are many ways of transplanting starts. I will be focusing on two today. One is transplanting from one spot in the ground to another, the other transplanting from a small pot into the ground.
The most important thing to remember about transplanting is that plant are delicate and the roots are the most delicate part. culture shock is also a major factor in transplanting. culture shock, for plants, is when they have lived in a nursery or a green house their whole life and once you put them in a new environment such as extreme sun or extreme rain its going to take them some time to adapt or it may kill them. To prevent against culture shock you should let the sprout experience the harsh conditions when its still in the pot. For example put the pot in your garden an hour or two a day so it gets used to the conditions.
There are two types of transplating, from the pot, and from the ground. to transplant from the pot first loosen up the roots a little, squeeze the pot to do this. after you do this simply tip the pot over with the sprout and dirt in your hand. once you have all the dirt in your hand put it in the hole in the ground which should be twice the size of your pot. the second way of transplanting is from one place in the ground to the other. this way is easy. Dig out the roots of the plant from the first place in the ground pick up the plant and put it in the other whole you have made.
so that is two ways of transplanting that i know of. hope it was accurate.
